in Musharraf <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Colony, Karachi. She is a mother of three children and runs a&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">small business from home, selling undergarments to support her&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">family. Her husband, Muhammad Rafiq, works as a driver and&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">earns PKR 35,000 per month, which is not enough to cover all&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">household expenses, especially with rising inflation. Before&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">receiving any training, Suhaliya\u2019s income from her business was&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">limited to around PKR 10,000 per month, as she only sold her&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">products within her local area and had a small number of regular&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">customers. She wanted to expand her business but didn\u2019t have the&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">skills or resources to do so.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With support from UNDP and HomeNet Pakistan (HNP), Suhaliya got the opportunity to enroll in&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">a vocational training program where she learned basic stitching and fabric designing. Her course&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">fee and transportation costs were fully paid for, and she received her travel allowance through a&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">cash app, which helped her improve her money management and become familiar with using&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">digital platforms.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After completing the training, Suhaliya became a certified professional. Along with selling&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">undergarments, she started stitching clothes as well. The quality of her work improved&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">significantly, and she began to attract new customers, not just from her neighborhood but also&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">through online selling. Her monthly income increased to between PKR 15,000 to 20,000, and she&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">now feels more confident in running and expanding her business.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Before the course, Suhaliya faced several challenges. Frequent strikes and transportation issues&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">often disrupted her ability to reach customers or get supplies, affecting her income and business&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">stability. She also lacked formal skills and didn\u2019t know how to present or market her products&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">professionally.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Now, Suhaliya is determined to keep learning and growing. She wants to stay connected with&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">HomeNet Pakistan for future training opportunities. She also hopes to take a computer course,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">such as Microsoft Office, to improve her digital skills and explore new career paths.
